The 2014 first-at-SEPTL Seed Swap was a satisfying success according to the two volunteers who staffed the Seed Swap in the Grace Room at St. David’s Episcopal Church. There was a steady stream of people from the time we opened the doors at 9:00am until we closed them at 2:00pm. We got lots of good questions and many appreciative comments interspersed with some great stories on a myriad of topics. And of course we gave out seeds and collected more seeds for the Seed Library.
The Seed Swap brought more attention to the city-wide Seed Library and let folks know that we are a part of that network. Our plan is to hold a Seed Swap every year early in the Spring, and to present a Seed Collection Workshop in the early Fall as seeds ripen.
So stay tuned for Seed Library happenings here on the SEPTL website.
